Lets start with the basics…

My name is Simon Scullion.

This is my personal blog, the content my own, and the views and opinions personal.

I live in Asturias, northern Spain with my wife and daughter.

I work for Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).

I sail as often as possible, though not often enough!

I have been working in the IT industry for about 10 years, and have a special interests in collaboration, social media and mobility.

My family see me as a geek, but I don’t think I’m that bad, though I did convert my parents PC to Ubuntu!

I enjoy being out and about with family and friends, photography, DIY, and general geekery. Oh, and beer!

I tinker quite a bit with technology (could be where I get the geek status from!?), mostly web development and design, Linux - Ubuntu is my current distro of choice - and must be on the latest version of everything!

I like my gadgets, but have my budget controlled be external forces.
