The public musings of a collaboration lifeguard
About Me
Lets start with the basics…
Collaboration, Enterprise 2.0, social software, ubuntu, sailing, gadgets, geek, husband, dad.
My name is Simon Scullion, and this is my personal blog.
I live in Asturias, northern Spain, with my wife and two daughters.
I work for CSC.
As a self-appointed “Collaboration Lifeguard” and “Engagement Engineer“, poking and prodding in the name of enterprise social media, hopefully driving adoption as we go.
Not often content to simply tow the party line, I enjoy asking “why?” and challenging the status quo, exploring Virtual Worlds and Linux on the desktop.
My family see me as a geek, but I don’t think I’m that bad – though I did convert my parents PC to Ubuntu!
I must be on the latest version of everything!
I like my gadgets, but have my budget controlled be external forces.
When able to escape to the real world, I have a sailing habit.
I enjoy being out and about with family and friends, photography, DIY, and general geekery. Oh, and occasionally, beer!
