England win one-day final!

0

I’ve been following the second one-day match over on the beeb this morning. I can’t quite believe England have out back to back victories together agains the Aussies, and can come home after a tough tour down under with a trophy!

Well done boys, thats a good response after some of the recent lows.

England won a cricket match!

Great result by the boys down under, finally showed a bit of character to beat the Aussies in a competitive match. A fantastic performance by Collingwood to steer the side home.

For the record, England 253-6 beat Australia 252 by four wickets. Via the beeb.

It has been a depressing winter so far, and we look a different side from when we won the Ashes.

Still 1-0 up with two to play, can’t ask for a better start than that!

Chocolate Pudding

This recipie came via Mum, and has been a firm favourite for a long time. It is delicious hot with ice cream!

I am writing this up as I have lost it more times than I have made it, and the paper copy Mum sent me has just turned up after a prolonged absence. Now there’ll be a pretty permanent electronic copy thanks to Google, and Mum can point anyone here that asks for it!

I will try to calulate and update with metric units for those like me that stuggle with imperial!

Let me know if you have anycomments, suggestions or improvements!

An Introduction

0

We’re already two posts in, so I had better get an introduction out there before its out of place!

I won’t repeat all I have included in my About page, just a little flesh on the most interesting bones.

I have been working in the IT industry for nearly ten years, the last eight or so with Lotus technology in particular. I read a lot on the web, particularly on areas relating to my work. I like writing, and this blog I hope will give me some focus for my thoughts and opinions. However I am rather out of practice and it is something I would like to improve. So don’t expect too many large articles or in depth analysis, at least to start with!

Check out my About page if you would like to know more about me, or even better, hang around and chime in on the discussion.

There is a lot to do in setting up a blog!

I am starting to realise just how much there is to do when setting up a new blog! This might take me a little time to get how I want.

I am using WordPress which is offered by my hosting, although I am still considering a domino based blog and being true to the cause! To be honest though I quite like WordPress. I also think it helps to vary things a little and get a different perspective on things, and you never know, I might learn a little php one day!
