Carestream to integrate and sell IBM Lotus product

Interesting to see this come through the newsvine outside the usual (for me) IBM bloggers, and good to see a company see real value in the Sametime platform and want to publicise openly.

Carestream Health will integrate and sell a key component of the IBM Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC2) platform—IBM Lotus Sametime, the company announced at the 93rd annual meeting at Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).The combination of Lotus Sametime software and Carestream’s radiology services will facilitate rapid communication, including instant messaging and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) interactions between radiologists and other medical professionals involved in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, according to Carestream.Carestream also said that users can share computer screens, highlighting parts of an image to collaborate on a diagnosis. | News
